From Chaos to Clarity: My Journey into Investing

Like many others, I didn’t come from a finance background — and neither did my family.

I had to figure investing out on my own.

In the endless sea of information, it felt overwhelming, intimidating, and honestly, I was lost. Who should I trust? Who should I learn from?

Eventually, I came across something that finally made sense — not because someone told me to accept it, but because it tied together data with human psychology.

Am I a successful trader or investor? Honestly, I can’t say for sure.

But am I a more confident one? Absolutely.

You might wonder — why would someone go through the effort to do this?
Stick around and follow the blog, and I’m sure the reason will become clear!

The Spark That Changed My Investing Journey

I made my very first investment in the U.S. back in 2018.

As a software engineer, I did what most of us naturally do — invest in the big tech names like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. After all, those were the companies we lived and breathed every day, both at work and in the news.

My strategy seemed simple: if a big tech stock dropped 5–10%, I’d buy more, keep accumulating, and hold for the long term.

Between 2018 and 2020, that approach worked — my account grew about 40%. I was thrilled, just like everyone else riding the wave.

Then came 2020. The COVID crash hit like a thunderbolt.

My +40% gains from three years quickly flipped into a painful –30% within just a few months.

It wasn’t just numbers turning red — it was an emotional rollercoaster. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt crept in.

Like many others, I went searching for answers online. YouTube videos, Instagram reels, Twitter threads — I devoured them all. But instead of clarity, I only found noise. The deeper I dug, the more confused I became.

And then, something shifted.

A close friend of mine — who had been quietly studying the markets for years — reached out. In a single call, he showed me something I never knew existed.

Beneath all the noise, there is structure in the chaos. That conversation lit a spark.

I moved from blindly buying dips to investing confidently when the odds aligned.

Since then, I’ve built my foundation around three key pillars — Fundamental analysis, Technical analysis, and most importantly, Mental analysis

Today, my mission is simple: to share that same spark with you — in a way that’s clear, approachable, and never overwhelming.

The Journey Ahead

So, if you’re open to learning something new — and maybe even applying it to your own investing journey — you’re in the right place.

I’ve started a series on technical analysis, blending real-world examples with past case studies to keep things engaging and practical.

By the end, you won’t see charts as random chaos anymore — you’ll see them as structured stories waiting to be read.

And who knows, maybe you’ll feel the same spark that I first discovered back in 2020.

So let’s dive in — and make investing fun. 🚀
