Amazon has dropped ~19% in just 5 days.

That kind of move in a name like AMZN is rare. And when moves like this happen, emotions run high — panic for some, FOMO for others.

For me, moments like this trigger one response:
Go back to the technicals.

Amazon is a long-term holding for me. I don’t chase it.
I accumulate it — only at levels where the risk-reward makes sense.

So today, I want to walk through:

To understand this setup clearly, it helps to be familiar with:

Amazon hit an all-time high: 255$

The narrative was loud:

“AMZN to $300 next.”

But the chart told a different story.

Price was pressing into a major resistance trendline that dates all the way back to 2021. That level had rejected price before — and once again, it mattered.

Did I buy in FOMO?
Absolutely not.

I did what technical analysis is best at:
👉 It kept me from buying when risk was high.

I waited.

Feb 6th, 2026 — Reality Sets In

Fast forward a few months.

Amazon is now:

That long-term resistance?
It held.

Now that fear has entered the picture, I’m finally interested — but still selective.

The First Level I’m Watching

My first area of interest is around $193.

Why?

Because it lines up with multiple technical factors:

  1. A rising long-term trendline
  2. A gap-fill zone
  3. If price pushes lower, we likely get a beaten-down RSI as well

That’s a 2–3 factor confluence zone — the kind of area where risk starts to compress and opportunity begins to appear.

This doesn’t mean price must bounce there.
 It simply means:
👉 If it gets there, I’ll be paying attention.

Will It Get There?

Honestly?
I don’t know.

And I’m perfectly fine with that.

One of the biggest shifts in my investing journey was learning to stop chasing trades. The market doesn’t owe us entries — but it always offers another opportunity.

Final Thoughts

Big drops create loud headlines.
But they also create clarity — if you know where to look.

I’m not trying to predict the bottom.
I’m not reacting to fear.
I’m simply waiting for price to come into zones where risk is defined and patience is rewarded.

That’s how I’ve learned to invest:

Sometimes, the best move isn’t buying or selling — it’s waiting for the market to come to you.
